A Senior Portrait is arguably the single most important photograph a person ever has created in their lifetime. More people will see a senior portrait than any other photograph a person ever has taken. (Yes, even more than wedding photos!) That is why at Waco Hill Photography, we have such a passion for creating beautiful, unique reflections of Seniors that speak to who they are and who they are becoming at such a monumental time in a person’s life. The “photo-factory” approach of waiting in line and photographing as many students as quickly as possible just doesn’t’ create the warm, flattering, emotional photographs that you deserve. That is why we invest the time to get to know each of our Senior Clients personally to make sure that each person walks away with a portrait that is not just of them, but is them. Isn’t that what we all want? To look at ourselves in the best possible light, in the most complimentary clothes, and avoid all the mistakes in posing that make us look and feel awkward? The choice of photographer is of extreme importance at this time. Many students and their parents don't realize what a difference it can make. A decision may just be a matter of choosing a name out of the phone book and making an appointment. Heck, we know it is hard to make decisions (there are lots of choices out there, and we deeply appreciate everyone who chooses Waco Hill Photography. We are thankful and blessed. We are also keenly aware that not every senior has the opportunity to choose who their photographer would be. For some students whose parents may have fallen on hard times, there might be no senior portraits at all. This is a tragic situation for someone at this critical time in life, and the truth is it is no ones fault. I wish we could help everyone, but the cold hard reality is we can’t… What we can, and are doing is creating a Portrait Scholarship Program that will allow us to fulfill the desires of three deserving students. There are a number of reasons that can keep seniors from being able to have the portraits they are dreaming of. Many families are experiencing financial setbacks, and Waco Hill Photography would like to remove that obstacle for three seniors from the Class of 2009. Waco Hill Fine Portrait Photography is offering a Senior Portrait Scholarship Program for three deserving upcoming High School Seniors. The students chosen will receive a Deluxe Portrait Session and Senior Portrait Package which includes a wall portrait with gift portraits and wallets, valued at over $600.00. You must submit an essay (250 words or less) stating why you or the person you are nominating deserves to receive one of the scholarships. Awards will be based on financial need, and or personal circumstances. Applications are available here:
